Lebanese Garlic Cream (Toum)
This is the perfect condiment to go with the Chicken Shawarma I just posted! It’s lighter than the mayo based sauces that are usually served with Shawarma and it’s extremely flavorful without being heavy. Plus.. super easy to whip up 🙂 Ingredients: 2 garlic cloves, crushed2 tbs fresh lemon juice1/2 tsp salt2 egg whites1 cup…
Middle Eastern Chicken Shawarma (marinade)
I grew up eating Shawarma; In the Netherlands, where I was born and raised, there are lots of “fast food” restaurants that sell it and serve it with pita bread and mayo based garlic sauce. I have also tried to recreate it many times since it’s such an easy flavorful meal to make that is…
Copycat Homemade Tagalongs
Girl.Scout.Cookies. These are absolutely delicious! The only thing I have changed from the original recipe I found online is that I use almond butter instead of peanut butter. You can use both butters, whatever your taste buds desire, I’m just using almond butter since I’m allergic to peanuts. They look fancy, and they are! But…

What is Keto?
When you eat “Keto”, you strive to keep your carbohydrates low (20-50 grams a day) your proteins moderate and your fat intake high.
There is so much to share about this way of eating, but to keep it simple for now, it is a high fat way of eating that can reap major health benefits in the long run.
Please know, that all of the featured recipes are high in fats and low in carbohydrates. If you are not following a Keto lifestyle, these recipes might not be suitable for your dietary needs.
Quick Keto tips
- Always check the label on the products you use. You may think they are low in carbs, but you’ll be surprised how much sugars are added to various products.
- Just because something is Keto, doesn’t mean that it can be eaten in unlimited amounts. Except for Rebel ice cream….. nah, just kidding… I wish 🙂
- Natural sugars are sugars too! Just because honey is a natural sugar, doesn’t mean it doesn’t raise your blood sugar.
- Drink your water!
Remember!
Taking care of your body and eating healthy doesn’t mean your tastebuds have to suffer!

Don’t give up and take it one step at a time. Everyone messes up, but consistency is key. If you’re consistent, those messy days will matter less.
